अवनीन्र्द कुमार हिन्दुस्तानी शास्त्रीय संगीत की परम्परा में बहुत ही पारंगत उदीयमान सितार वादक हैं | उन्होंने बहुत सुरीले अंदाज में राग दरबारी की अवतारणा की और तबले पर संगत साथी कलाकार ने कुशलतापूर्वक लय ताल में उम्दा संगत कर संगीत महफिल को संगीत से सराबोर कर दिया | ये कलाकार हमारे जानेमाने सितार वादक पंडित रविशंकर उस्ताद विलायत खाॅ और तबला वादक पं गुदई महाराज पंडित किशन महाराज उस्ताद जाकिर हुसैन की परम्परा को आगे बढ़ाने में पूरी तरह समर्थ हैं | ऐसे कलाकारों पर हम जैसे सुधी श्रोताओं के साथ दश को भी गर्व है |
