You nailed it man. Without his music I’d of prolly off’d myself a long time ago. Johnny hung in there cause HE HAD TO PLAY MUSIC . He was clearly meant to be doing exactly what he accomplished. Having said that FUCK DOPE ! This is just a general statement. Not directed at you man ! Dope is not cool, you won’t be a better guitar player with it . Johnny was a drug addict but HIS MUSIC IS WHAT WE ALL LOVE !

I don't get all the wasted talent comments. Millions of junkies with tons of talent OD and die every day without leaving behind any legacy at all. Despite all of his issues he played in some great bands and left behind a lot of great records.

don't matter how you waste your life, I mean like what you might define as a waste some define as thriving and sometimes vice versa, as long as you didn't regret it or hurt too many people in the end, and especially if you leave something for others to enjoy or be inspired by, its almost impossible to define anyone's life truly as "wasted". Its no secret that he was a misery addict more then anything coming to the end, with parental issues during key developmental years especially from a father who is present in the home but has no interest in his children which was the case for Mr.Genzalle and Lil Johnny growing up, speaking from experience it creates a very needy but closed off person sometimes described as "too hard to love,too hard not to love" from ex's close friends of the person ,Immediate family ,its always the same someone who cant love themselves cant love others and I suppose the mans problem more then drugs was the inability to love himself and there are definite signs of that situation throughout his professional life and relations with both his wife/wives' and kids, admittedly drugs will exasperate both sides of this condition depending on what side of things your life finds its self on that week
@blue21344 жыл бұрын
I think by wasted talent, people mean to say that he could’ve spent his time doing MORE, from what I read he was an incredibly hard core junkie. Some people experiment lightly with drugs and others are totally consumed by it - he appeared to be consumed by it, he was super charismatic and talented, he was unlucky only in the fact that god refuse to give him a loong life, anyways May he Rest In Peace (I’m getting sad writing this)

Del lp BOOTLEGING THE BOOTLEGERS.
