Izmir is the best city in the world - best people, friendly, laid -back Mediterranean.... Not tons of riches or money, but the stuff that truly matters!! Culture, character and hospitality. Izmir is magic..pure and simple. I used to go skating on that walkway by the statue as a kid. Man, your video brought back memories. ...And you're right, Istanbul doesn't compare to Izmir. Friendliest city on the earth. Once you go there, you'll wanna go back. You'll always remember it!! Turkey has a special, special place in your heart.

The yellow lines on the sidewalk were made for blind people.

Tolga Umut Oh! That is a really smart feature. Thank you for letting us know 😊 I attempted watching other people walking on the pavements to figure out the lines' purpose, but no luck there. Great to know, that makes so much sense!

Carmen Peters it is made for you to SEE, not for them. You see a blind person and yield to him/her as you can project his/her path with these yellow lines.

@TwojaysStepaway6 жыл бұрын
I really loved Izmir. If we manage to return to Turkey, I want to head back there (and also visit Çeşme). My problem with Turkey is that it is such a big country, geographically speaking, and there are so many places to visit! It's the best kind of problem to have 😮

when a blind person walks on the pavement with their walking stick they can feel if it's lines or dots. lines means you're on the pavement keep walking and the dots mean you're really close to the end of the pavement be careful.

Izmir city is my hometown:) I have just discovered your channel. The next destination ,you should definitely go to Pamukkale/Denizli. You can go by car, train or plane. I recommend the train. It takes about 5 hours but you can see a very beautiful nature scenery on the way. The railroad made by Germans in Ottoman times. Greetings from Germany😁🖐🏻
