At around 2:00 mike casts skyshroud claim and gets a tapped forest and a tapped breeding pool. However, this should not happen, as the lands from skyshroud claim come in tapped. He could have cast his commander.

At 8:05 Blue Sun's Zenith is a 4 CMC spell right? Three blue and the X counts as well i believe, but could be wrong.

X counts but only on the stack. For all other purposes, Blue Sun Zenith counts as a three mana spell.

I was about to call out how Mike and Trevor didn't infinitely draw cards from each other, then I read the "may" on the card. Still, that'd be a cool way to take someone down with you if it wasn't a "may" ability.

I believe you can force an opponent to draw out if they have a Notion Thief and you have a Consecrated Sphinx. Fun times!

Well, it should be strong since it is a 10 cmc creature after all, but you need to have a consistent draw engine(like Consecrated Sphinx) for it to be this effective. I've seen many times it hitting the field, player filling his hand and then it dying to first removal thrown at it since you didn't draw a card with that removal's specific mana cost.

Sorry but Cons Sphinxes and overloaded Cyclonic Rifts turn good games into snorefests for me. Usually like your videos, though I guess it isn't your fault here. I'm the guy that runs Pyroblast and Red Elemental Blast whenever the colors allow.

It is only as boring as you build it. "Hey I won with C. Sphinx, Cyclonic Rift, some Eldrazi, and/or Craterhoof". "Sorry I glazed over when I couldn't differentiate your games". Nothing needing banning, playgroups balance themselves. But if you always see decks running Optimized or faking it, time to run Hatebears.dec to decelerate.

It can be beaten easily and doesn't win instantly. Primetime and Primordial were infinitely worse. Is C. Sphinx a fair/fun card? Not really. Neither is GA4. But playing around it is edh. Basically gang the C. Sphinx player till they stop. They will if every game you lose the turn after you resolve it. Negative reinforcement.
