On the Left Hand Side - lol, well, it has been known! Thanks for commenting. All the best, Dale

Did you try de-coupling the threshold and reduction sliders? It breaks gives you control over "noise" and "tonal" separately.

9:30, it helped, but there's still noise for a $400 product. Expect more for this price!

I hear you. Although in the "old days" all we had was DBX, and Dolby A, B and C. Miracles? No. But average background noise and hiss it'll deal with quickly and easily. Anything outside of the box takes more time and results cannot be guaranteed. Best regards, Dale Harris

Hi Dale, This track has a lot of not only hiss but noise right through the audible spectrum. That's very difficult to deal with. But I also notice the noise is modulated by the guitar. When the guitar is silent, the noise gets louder. Is it possible the original recording was made to tape with Noise Reduction? If so it's best to try and "decode" any original analog noise reduction. This will at least stop the background noise pumping up and down, as well as restore the natural dynamics of the performance. Best wishes, Tim.

Hi Tim, indeed I picked a difficult track to demonstrate the limits of how RX7 can cope. I may yet pick a few more examples for video review using slightly less challenging audio! Thanks for commenting. I'm sure many others will benefit from the wisdom on offer here! All the best, Dale

wow, that did next to nothing to improve the signal. unfortunate.

which goes to proove the point I was making. That not all software can perform miracles with a one-size-fits all approach, Instead, it can take a considerable amount of time to sculpt a piece. And then one has to take into account the quality of the source material. I simply picked an old awful recording just out of curiosity. Thanks for watching. Best regards, Dale
