Hey Izzy, kleine tip misschien voor defensieve gevechten in Calenhad (en algemeen voor settlements): plaats je pikemen (en algemeen je units die een poortverdedigen) iets verder van de poort, zo vermijd je de 'push through' van de vijand waarbij je snel veel units verliest. Kijkend naar de poort vanuit je stad: zet bijvoorbeeld 1 unit links, 1 recht voor de poort, maar op wat meer afstand en als ze dan naar de rechterkant lopen, plaats daar iets verder nog één of twee units. Dan heeft de vijand meer ruimte en zijn ze precies 'rustiger' en kan je er mooi je boogschutters etc op loslaten zonder dat de vijand actief door je units wil weglopen.

Re: Isengard. At the moment, Izzy has his hands full with enemies. So I would just ignore Isengard for now, take care of Mordor first and then save Isengard as a fun bonus round at the end.

I've heard tell that the Shire is quite wealthy, one of the only places in Middle Earth to get good pipeweed. It would be a shame if something were to happen to it because the Breelanders could not protect it from goblins. It may be prudent to remove the Breelander control over the area and put them under your protection for their own good. Afterall, it is hard to get good pipeweed these days, and if Bree cannot secure the supply of pipeweed to Middle Earth in these trying times, maybe someone else should.

I just found out something interesting, even when someone like me played 4000+ hours of medieval 2, or much time on any total war even. XD That the balance of power bar, the red blue one before going into battles and during battles, it's not telling you how big of a chance it is for you or other side to win. That bar tells how many troops you are likely to lose compared to your opponent.

It was another pretty big total war youtuber called Melkor who does a lot of AI only campaign, total war fun facts videos and some mod showcases and testing. He is pretty reliable and I did watch him for a really long time. If you wanna find where he says it, it is his recent video called ”AI only campaign - Rome Remastered: REGICIDE EDITION. Timestamp 25:40 Then I also found on some TWcenter page mentioning it.

Remember if you want to kill Isenguard you need to instakill them, on the same turn you declare war on them. Meaning you need siege equipment and instantly attack the city. If you wait a turn, their expansion script will trigger and you will lose all your Orthanc units including Yagthak.

Hello, friend. In the end, it turns that your decision to keep staying in good terms with Enedwaith is a good decision. Because you keep the war in one frontier. But since Mordor and Enedwaith border each other in Gondor, if the Orcs come from your underside, you have plenty of space to counter and control and expand. But this has yet to come, for now we must control what we have in our hands. The battle of Limhir was a good one, I would personally keep it, as it's a good moneymaker. Lorien can easily become a nuisance, but for now they are useful, as they can act as a buffer along the Anduin inCaras Galadhon against Dol Guldur and in Tirith Anduin against Mordor. Should they fall, then it's up to you to guard the passes by claiming those two towns for your own. For me, it's essential to claim Argond and Celloniach, because this will exalt the Gobins north of Imladris, another useful buffer against them, so that they expand towards Angmar. This way, you can keep an eye in key paces (Bruinost, Khazad-dum) and all spare forces go past the river Gwathlo and ito the Breeland territory, which has quite some power and will give you your victory conditions. Your economy surely needs you to pause for a bit recruiting of new units, so as to concentrate a bit in the advancement of your infrastructure - instead, retrain broken units and send them forth. Next turn, you'll have the One, so the final decision is yours. However, remember that if you keep it, the everyone, even the High Elfs, will jump on you immediately. As for if you come at war with Isenguard: Not only you'll lose the Orthanc units, but also Yagthak, Frecca and Menthar, your starting generals. The Orthanc units can be recruited anew after you get Isenguard, but your initial three custom generals will go forever. Have a nice time.

Mostly agreed. I think it could be worthwhile to keep Lorien in the fight, to act as a buffer against the remnants of Dol Guldur once Izzy takes out Dol Guldur itself. Just to spare himself the bother of fighting in Mirkwood in heavy tree cover, which he so dearly loves to do. But I am definitely agreed on cleaning out the goblins. I think it would be worthwhile to snatch up Shire as well. There is a possibility that leads to a war with the Northern Dunedain, but since Izzy needs to hold onto Bree anyway, might as well make for a clean sweep of Bree.

You should just take isengard in one turn cause you are gonna get an additional settelment to recruit your elites. But as I said you should take Isengard in the same turn you declare war

Why not just try off cam what happens if you declare war on Isengard, and then you make your choice. From what I remembered, you mentioned that if you delete the Isengard units, it plays out differently. So just try it and tell us your choice later if you are happy with the outcome.

My only concern is enedwith in the game is such a fickle ally who will betray when it makes no sense because the ai thinks things are going too easy for the player. As a roleplay decision its a good one though.
