Yes, it's that time of year again! Time for our annual visit to J. Arthur's Restaurant, in beautiful Maggie Valley, NC, in the Great Smoky Mountains!
J. Arthur's offers a varied menu, beautiful Christmas lights, and a great dining atmosphere in a beautiful setting.

As a Christian, I enjoyed the unabashed decoration celebrating Jesus' Birth! And... as a longtime railfan and model railroader (N Scale), I enjoyed the trains that are a part of the festivities. Looks like the two of you shared a wonderful evening. It was obviously much more than "just a meal". Watching this in mid-July was just what I needed with all that's going-on right now in my life. Maybe one of these days I'll be nearby at Christmastime and can take a ride here. I'm sure they wouldn't mind seating a "table for one" guest! God Bless!

My late wife and I would drive from Cleveland TN to eat there…we celebrated our 37th anniversary with a meal there…as a Norfolk Southern Railway employee (now retired) I loved the model railroad traveling around the wall…everything we always had was super delicious 👍👍👍…thank you both for the memories 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

When you started out with this was one of your favorite restaurants anywhere, you had us! Beautiful restaurant and so festively decorated! Those cheesesticks! All of the food looked so delicious. Service like this really makes your dinner experience. If we were close to that restaurant we would be there asap after seeing this review. Wonderful job!

What a beautiful restaurant. You wore the right shirt to match the decor! It certainly is decorated well. Not sure if it’s ‘romantic’, with the acoustics and kiddos eating there, but it seems the food would forgive any misdeeds!! Haha I agree with you both, it’s so nice when they respect the timing of different courses. It makes for a pleasurable dining experience. What a beautiful restaurant and the food looked delicious...we were in Maggie Valley a few weeks ago and tried the Mexican restaurant "Guayabitos" we liked it so much we had lunch and dinner there both times the food and service were awesome...I'd be interested in yall trying that establishment and hearing your thoughts ...and again another great review...thanks for sharing

We have actually eaten there several times, as well. We just haven't eaten there since we've been doing the video reviews. We have enjoyed our experience there every single time. I'm going to say we've been there 4 times, if my memory serves me correct.

Thank you so much for watching and for commenting. Yes, you got 1 out of 2. I am a preacher of the Gospel. I'm not pastoring at this time, but I do preach. I am also the dad of 2 boys who were both in the Army. I myself, was not in the military. But I do have a cousin named Kevin Holland, and you can find his testimony on KZbin. If you just look up Kevin Holland Testimony, he was actually a Navy SEAL and also in the Army Delta Force. So, what tipped you both off, that I was a preacher?

I was there in October and the food was outstanding. I will definitely go back next time I visit. Have you had breakfast at Joey's Pancake House there in Maggie Valley? It is the best breakfast I have ever eaten. There is always a wait but the food more than makes up for it!!!

It’s sure is decorated pretty! Ive not been there yet. I’ve heard a lot about it and seen your reviews. I don’t get to Maggie valley as often as I use to when I lived in bryson city. Plus I dii on it like driving at night. Maybe I can make it for late lunch one day, I’ll have to check their hours. Hours change this time of year…around these parts. Y’all look so nice. Dressed so nice and the atmosphere. My comments have been going to spam and I have no idea why or how to fix it. I kept wondering why nobody has been replying. Lol So, im way behind on things.

I'm not sure why that is happening to you. About a year ago, the comments people were making on our videos, were not showing up. Our friends on KZbin, the Vafunseekers, messaged and asked us if we had been seeing their comments. We had not. Somehow, our setting had gotten changed to "Hold Comments For Review", and we were not even getting notifications. I had over 100 comments to review, so I had to go back through and change the settings for each video again. Took me days to do it.

With all due respect, we both interject whenever we have something we want to add, and don't wish to forget. We do not have a script. If you had watched any amount of our other reviews, you would see that we both do this. You can't watch one or two videos, and then decide to make a judgment about people, and then try to tell a husband and wife how to interact. Please do not tell us how to interact with each other. We've been married 30 years. We've got this.
