First came across your channel via this video and have found I'm absolutely hooked to your music! I mean, I love the original tracks of the Onibi Series (obviously) but the horror you integrate into the work elevates them beyond their original scope. The chanting in the background in parts like 0:42 - 0:52 is *haunting* and that combined with the purposefully out of tune singing is equally frightening. It is sickening listening to this and you really brought to light the original context of the song, what with it feeling like a decaying dream. In general, I'm obsessed with the way you tune and am blown away by your use of Gumi. She sounds so unique and your cover of We'll Meet Again was uncanny in how close you border on a realistic voice... I think I just love all the flat(?) notes you integrate into your music and the deeper voices which stand out against a lot of other vocaloid artists. Anyways I guess this is just me trying to say politely PLEASEEE i am am hopeelesy i am ur music good i love it. Keep making music as long as you will it because its good its all good thank you

I want to point out all the things i've noticed so far!!! 0:07 Teto's silhouette definitely has something inside of it, unfortunately i can't really point out what exactly. At least there's some visible blood on her neck 0:19 Mai's "camera angle" is moving down, but Teto's isn't 1:23 Teto's hand in the back seems to be holding a skull I was thinking that maybe an umbrella 1:43 also has something inside of it, but i am not sure At 0:29 it was spring, however at 1:47 it's already fall. My guess is that represents something inevitable slowly coming!!!! 1:59 At the previous scenes with this sprite Mai's head was completely on screen, but there it's only halfway. The "camera" is focusing on her neck more 2:06 Pretty sure everyone noticed the black square on Teto's head 2:23 Mai's neck has a cut around it 3:02 Mai is covered with a skeleton 3:09 A frame of Mai in beheaded dance performance appears for a second 3:18 An eye inside of Teto's silhoette 3:27 A skull is asending infront of teto 3:46 The same sprite of Mai as on 2:23 appears, now it's shaking like in beheaded dance performance 3:53 Mai becomes all bloody☹ 3:58 Happily married!!! 4:02 "Camera going down" stops on Mai's neck Thank you fluukl for uploading the most wondercool star lily of all star lilies🙏🙏🙏

I messed with the first Teto silhouette and it seems like this is in between her actual death and before the last image of her decomposed completely. It has a glitched effect and you can only see one eye and her kimono. Which looked dirty and her face was rotting. I’ll look at the second one and say my piece on that one.

What a banger! And amazing video!! From the start the happiness feels fake and the whole thing feels ominous, the only thing that feels genuine is the image of Mai praying for happiness... When I first watched your video, I was initially confused as to why Akari (teto) was depicted as dead alongside Mai (gumi). I thought (based on what i think i know and what others have said, it was just Mai who got beheaded. But when rewatching Fox’s Wedding and then this video I picked up on some lyrics gave me clarity: “I sleep where the Fox Lady sleeps.” - Akari “Behind this torii lies my body and The daimyo’s procession, the corps(es) guards.” - Akari These lines imply that Akari’s actual body remains unburied and that the Akari we see everywhere else is just a ghost, perhaps one only Mai can see as she is being cursed/partially-possessed by her. So when Mai is executed she is, in a way, united with Akari as she hoped. Maybe she was beheaded in the same place that Spider and the Kitsune took place at, or her body was just dumped there. Or the last frame is more metaphorical, and the two’s bodies aren’t literally together.

the out-of-tune parts, the pitched-down audio, it all gives it such an ominous feel. reflects that this dream of Mai's is just a dream, and a subtle reminder of the dark truth that is her oncoming demise - she can never be with Akari like she desperately wanted. perhaps a way of coping with her near death, and yet she cant hide from it anymore. edit: i listened to ur other onibi covers, and i noticed that gumi is tuned very differently here. in other songs, she has a much deeper, almost demonic voice. here, she has a very gentle and sweet voice. perhaps its the way mai wishes herself to be, when in reality she is nothing short of a monster.
