Jeon is an Aruban singer. The word Machika comes from the language Papiamento which is spoken on Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao. Machika means smash/mashed/crumbled. Jeon met J Balvin in New York at a gym and later on J Balvin heard a song by Jeon from a Puerto Rican DJ. Because of this the average Aruban can speak up to 5 languages. Papiamento was first Portuguese creole and later was influenced by the Spanish language. When I first heard the song I took the meaning of Machika to basically “smash.” I know someone else gave another meaning on here, but growing up we used the word machacar for some instances. (Non sexual) So I took this meaning as “smash” because of the references in the song and video. Especially if you look at the actual music video at the dancing 1:46 and their hand gestures at 2:53.
