STORY
月野うさぎたちは、束の間の平和を取り戻し、普通の女子高生としての生活を送っていた。
その矢先、うさぎの恋人である地場衛がアメリカへ留学することに。衛の見送りの空港で、うさぎは衛から婚約指輪を渡される。ふたりが未来を誓った直後、衛は何者かの手によってうさぎの目の前で消滅させられてしまう。
衛が消えた現実を受け止めきれないうさぎは、その記憶を心の奥底にしまい込んでしまった。
そんな中、うさぎたちの前に、突如セーラーギャラクシア率いるシャドウ・ギャラクティカ、そしてセーラースターライツが現れる。セーラースターライツが敵か味方かわからないまま、セーラー戦士たちは圧倒的な強さを持つセーラーギャラクシアに、力の源である“セーラー・クリスタル”を奪われ、次々と消されていく。

悪役だからと言って悪いやつだと思っていた、思い込まされていたアニメはたくさんあった。十数年経ったいま、見逃していた何かが全て集まってきて、悪は初めから”悪”ではないこと、根源を辿れば、実はそれは全て愛から始まっていたことを知る。自分の世界観にジャッジなんていらない。 語彙力ないけど、全て愛だと感じる。

綺麗ですよね。声聴いたら泣きそうになりました。早く円盤出て欲しいです!全部鑑賞しましたが、後編のラストあたりでギャラクシア様がセーラームーンに手を差しのべるシーンは感動してなきました。 砂にかわってしまいましたね。可哀想なボスキャラですが、自分も孤独と重なるかな？とか色々考えてしまいそうでした。

That is not what her backstory is lol *spoilers ahead* Her own home planet was attacked and conquered by Chaos, she was defenseless. As a result, she started conquering other planets, killing their senshi, in order to become strong enough to be able to win over Chaos.

If we go by Eternal's Japanese then international release dates Cosmos should see worldwide release around November.

It's probably going to take some time because like the other person said if we go by Sailor Moon eternal let's go by that... they finish filming Sailor Moon eternal late 2020... Sailor Moon eternal was released in 2021 January and February and theaters in Japan... then June 2021 both films of Sailor Moon eternal were released on Netflix and all streams worldwide. So with that being said it could be awhile

The Stars Arc is kinda dark for a shojo movie. I remember when Usagi leaves for the battle after entrusting Luna, Artemis and Diana to her mother, the latter is in tears and fears Usagi will never come back.

@@briangaron7609 Unless said cookie was in the oven cooking for twelve hours or more, I highly disagree. Usagi watches all of her friends/family and fiancé get atomized right in front of her, sees their corpses get reanimated, and then ends up having to kill them again, herself. On top of all that, a future version of herself comes back to her and tries to convince her to end all life, because her battle with Chaos is never ending, and too much has been lost. Not to mention all the face melting, and horror elements throughout the manga, which admittedly was censored in both anime adaptations.

Indeed, they both went through "similar" situations but usagi/serenity had friends, family and a special person who supported her at all times.What the director said now adds up. Villains who couldn't be what usagi/sailor moon is.Even what would happen if usagi was alone. Galaxy after all is the guardian of the galaxy. She could have been that source of light and infinite love for the rest of the senshis of the milky way.

@@veghesther3204I don’t think this was a matter of the previous voice actress being available or not. This Galaxia is a different interpretation from the 90’s version. 90’s Galaxia was more commanding and terrifying, which Mitsuko Horie did an amazing job showcasing that. Manga Galaxia and to that extent, the Cosmos movie Galaxia is more haunting. I think they did an amazing job casting Megumi because although Galaxia’s voice is higher pitched this time around, it really gives her that intimidating haunting atmosphere I always envisioned while reading the manga.

I'm excited to see more in depth of Sailor Galaxia's background, and Sailor Cosmos debut.

Oh wow, I heard about the abuse/torture scene in Galaxia's backstory weeks ago. I thought it was just a rumor, but it's true. This explains Galaxia falling into villainy. Great job, writers. The manga left a lot to be desired on Galaxia's backstory, all we were told was her home planet was extremely harsh.

It's Naoko the author who wanted to showcase more of galaxia backstory and wrote a dialogue for her explaining in depth her situation in the movie since she didn't get the chance to in the manga not the writers.

I glad that Movie give Galaxia's backstory more deep give her a purpose and gold that make sense of why she's a turn into villainy better than 90's season 5 Stars were she has none but a being a she is the legendary Guardian who sealed Chaos but fail and Chaos take over her body and Chaos have the Sailor Animamates collecting Star Seed to taking over the world this is just weak and Cosmos going to gives us that strong backstory like Thanos in Avengers and yes Sailor Moon Cosmos is the Avengers Infinity War, Endgame and Justice League Dark Apocalyps War, Cosmos is the Darkest and best and just so epic just like does films.

Strange to get defensive validating yourself (when there’s nothing wrong with people viewing these trailers) when this is about Toei’s poor marketing. I have read this manga arc for 10 years it’s my favorite one so I have no issue seeing it, I literally said I love watching the scenes. I was never going to be surprised along with everyone here who has been waiting for this arc to be adapted properly for 26 years. They literally spoil the ending for people who have never read it and should just release the film or announce an international release. The plot points and transformations have been posted. The movie isn’t doing so well in Japan so obviously this marketing and lack of releasing it globally while releasing all the major plot online isn’t working, it will hurt the franchise in the long run. They are not making profit by spoiling the entire movie for people. Anyways Toei has themselves to blame for the poor box office by hurting Sailor Moon with this reboot the past 10 years.
