When I pledged in college, I was an immature Christian and was uncomfortable during the ceremony but dismissed it because the members I knew and looked up to were really churchy. Years later when I had grown in Christ, I was convicted by God to look back at what we did and realized that we swore oaths on our knees before an altar to the sorority. The songs and oaths sounded scriptural because they took scripture and replaced God with the sorority. I also discovered that our secret handshake was the same as the mason's. I am an all-in kind of person, and it was an idol to me. I immediately left.

I denounced AKA after over 25 years of membership. When I took those rituals out & compared w/the Bible, I was hurt by what I did to God. AKA has a false god, Atlas, God said there should be no other gods besides him. What ppl fail to realize is that ppl really worshipped those gods, Hellenism. Zeus and a few other Greek gods are mentioned in the Bible. The rituals also manipulated scripture, it was a whole mess. Ppl say legalism bc they want to stay involved with their false gods.

Regarding GREEK fraternities and sororities, many of those organizations try to downplay their requirements. One has to pledge their allegiance to them wholeheartedly. It is gang activity with a suite and tie (period). They are no different than Bloods and Crypts! The hazing alone should deter any Christian from joining sororities and fraternities. When I attended my HBCU, I was approached to become a Delta. I respectfully declined and shared my faith in Christ with the individual. Any literature or declaration that asks one to praise, glorify, worship, or the like something/someone other than Christ should be immediately denounced. Jehovah God said, “Thou shall have no other gods before ME.”💪🏽💯

The main moderator seems like he was going out of his way to refute everything the other guys had to contribute. That “I gotta be right spirit” was on full display during this episode..Geesh! I’ve been watching regularly and this behavior was really prevalent. That undercutting was real. Why even have others on if you going to act like that. A couple of things: 1.) I know ladies who will DIE by the stance of, “I dress like that to impress my girls…it’s not about a man at all!” I don’t all the way agree with that narrative, but what do you say to that? 2.) I literally got off of IG and Twitter because the algorithm triggers my lust…and the Bible says that “if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out…” so I’ve had to delete the app in order to keep my heart with the Lord. So I would say that, instead of trying to change the ladies minds…we just need to log off…
