@@senggaopurusa8843 how do you know what he (J Cole)thought? how do you know this beef is real and not another marketing scheme to spice up the rap sales again?? Now I'm going to assume your a fan of JCole so I believe your opinion is bias. J Cole been talking about hes the greatest and says he ready for a fight, so when Kendrick (The Students) calls out J Cole & others the teacher. Then not only did j Cole make a DISS Response fast imo, went back on his word and apologized to the world's and also admitted Kendrick The better MC with out putting on a fight. What great person you know thats still considered Great and apologized for his intended actions. Sounds like a lame to me who wanted smoke and backed out when his Peer called him out. ppl will flame on it even more if he made a track like this...although it is a "j cole way of response". The response wouldn't really sound like a response, and even if it was taken that way, it would sound as though he doesn't really think Kendrick is anything of a competition even though its the big 3 thing. in end of the day, Cole shouldve just not responded OR just rap rap just straight try and bar for bar take out Kendrick with emcee skill. I mean if there is nothing to ctritic without making it personal or knowing its complete cap bs, might as well showcase your lyrical skill alone in the diss. Def nothing like Nas and Jay since they were also actually dissing each other

The reaction to his apology highlights what he’s saying on this track. People idolise rappers, their music becomes a big part of life, and they almost become an extension of yourself because you can relate to it. He’s telling people not to because eventually they will do something that disappoints you. Self awareness is what sets Cole apart. & that Kanye meme was off the mark if you want a real woman 😂

Kendrick and cole brought me to God. Which in return kept me from killing myself and never realising I'm an artist. I use to know I loved art as a kid, , but I forgot all about it completely repressed my child hood from the abuse and pain I received. I'm proud to say I'm out here shadowboxing demons and staying loyal to the most high. In Lord Jesus Christ's name I fight and stay. Chuchhhhhhhhhhhh! God bless

nothing wrong with showing off success after going through rough times making it big. Sometimes people just want bangers to bump too with simple lines that have a lot of substance. Sometimes people want no substance at all and just want to bump to nonsense. Kinda dumb you would inconvenient yourself to take a bus when you have the funds not to. Thats not real, that's an image youre trying to go for. Rap is evolving and if you think new rap doesnt have substance then youre mistaking.

Free thinking is not voicing thoughts on serious topics based on no info other then you want to say the opposite of what people think you would say. Free thinking is having adequate knowledge of a subject a voicing opinions based on what you think about that subject after having a clear understanding of it. Which Kanye does not he has been qouted saying his words are based on feeling not thought.

Jcole’s emotional intelligence is so far beyond these other rappers’. He’s apologised because there’s no benefit in dissing, he’s true to himself and that’s what’s rare in so many of these celebrities and people generally. What other rappers say about Cole or anyone else is irrelevant and doesn’t change his talent or the work he has put out.
@YoRedForeman

True. Be true to yourself. But don't claim to be one of the best and hope others to believe it. He took himself outta the competition. You think Kobe gonna apologize to KG? Jordan to Barkley? Brady to Manning? Or Jon Jones to DC? It's a competition, you can respect them while competing at the same time.

For me in films, I always wanted to be better or as good as some directors, after I heard j Cole, I understand different shit and my knowledge in philosophy got me to think about the situations that are truly terrified to me, I am no longer looking at anyone, but my self and inspiration is there, but is all about my self now. J Cole is the only rapper I listen to, his story telling skills are on another level and most have message.
