He switched up his style many times which made it harder to keep fans who liked one particular style to hang around and listen to an album that sounded like it was from a completely different artist. He did this multiple times since 2012 beginning with his album WZRD. To make it worse he trashed fans on twitter that liked this style you see in the video above, and fans of his mixtapes and first 2 albums MotM 1 and 2. He didn't return to this style until December 2020 when he released MotM 3. That long of a stylistic hiatus combined with the exhaustion of fans trying to get used to his style every 2 years evaporated the majority of his fanbase. To this day he is a legend that proved he can go back whenever he wants to which I think is very respectable, but again a lot of the fans of this music moved on to other artists and forgot about Cudi.

This song has so many feels. I went my whole life meeting women that I fell hard for, only for them to not to feel the same way. I made it to my 30s without really dating seriously for years. The last 2 words of Kanye’s verse, “die Aria” sound like the single word “diarrhea”. Seems random? Well, this is the kicker… Kanye rapping about not being able to get his “shit out” before is actually a reference to constipation: bowel dysfunction wherein feces cannot exit the rectum easily, leading to large, hard excrement. Diarrhea can be considered the opposite of constipation, as bowel movements categorized as diarrhea often come out at a rapid rate and are mostly comprised of liquid. Now, for ultimate conclusion: By Kanye saying “I hope you die Aria”… he is actually hoping that he is relieved of his constipation, which is a metaphor for his label not letting him put out music. Any self-respecting hip-hop fan can agree that this is an incredible double entendre and clearly the greatest wordplay of all time. In my opinion, Kanye should be praised for this more often. The line not only solidifies Erase Me as the greatest song of all time, but also Kanye as the greatest writer, rapper, artist, and human being of all time. Thank you.
