Am I the only one who was more impressed by the beautiful guitar playing? There's not enough compliments for the guitarist

Yes.

Come on.. the guitarist is amazing and its a beautiful melody but there are many guitarist that can do that, very very few rappers have the soul cole has and the ability to convey it on a song like this one.. the guy is already like top 30 rappers of all time

The guitar isn’t live you can hear it fade into a backing track

The original sample is from the late cape verdean singer Sara Tavares, the song is called Balancé. She passed away couple weeks ago from brain cancer, she was a music legend within the Portuguese community. I salute J Cole to this day for sampling her song so beautifully. ❤

Wow its amazing how 10 years ago you were ableto predict this so accurately. In my opinion you are 100% right, J. Cole is without a doubt as versatile, as talented, and as raw as some of the goats, Tupac, Eminem, Nas, etc.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the way J. Cole sampled Sara Tavares in this song... the fact that he chose her sample even further proves his genius as a musician and his appreciation for good music. I am glad that I keep learning about great artists through their work with others that I have great respect for. I was introduced to J. Cole through my favorite artist of all time, Jay-Z... and now I have been introduce to Sara Tavares through J. Cole. Awesome!!!!

I don't mean to be a spammer, but I'm a young upcoming rapper from Toronto. I just dropped a music video and if you can just check it out give me some feedback I'd really appreciate it. As far as the cole video... the song's always been incredible, the set up for the live performance is DOPE and the warm up is a classic mixtape in my eyes. The Come up was also classic.
@THEZROHOUR15 жыл бұрын
Not stupid homie, just think that its time to call it as it is..I am not so sensitive that I can't stand to hear the word in hip hop. I know that its too easy to use it when you spittin'/writing. Just step your game up. Song gets video/TV play, all those "niggas" ain't gonna fly. The song is so dope without it..
