This song is the creamiest of all J Cole's songs for me.... I discovered it 7 years ago back when I was in my mid collage years going through a lot of shit, experiencing the impacts of my parents' divorce at the same at the time... It gave me hope and strength to focus and finish my degree. Thankfully I finished my degree but still life hasn't turned out the way I planned it, 5 years later after college still haven't landed my first job for the profession i studied just stuck on a dead-end general job that isn't in line with my profession I studied. Early this morning i just got robbed of my phone and some cash on my way to work. But here I am back listening to this song because it always gives me hope to keep on fighting on matter how bad and dark things are in my life.
