J cole saved my life in 2011. I was depressed (suicidal), broke, couldn't talk to a girl. I was introduced to j cole and this song with "Show me Something" "2faced" "Cheer up" got me through hard times it made me challenge myself to change. 11 years later I'm married, have a baby boy, more confident, and financial stable. Everytime I listen to this song I tear up a bit knowing I could've ended it all . Thanks j cole " I said IT WONT BE LONG..... Until we out here baby"

This song always helps. When it dropped I was starting my first semester in college. During the time, my mom was fighting cancer. I used this song as motivation to make it. Sadly, she passed the following January but got my degree because that's what she wanted. I still use it as motivation to make her proud.

I first heard J.Cole on the radio when they announced that Jay-Z signed a new dude to his new record label RocNation and they played Lights Please and i loved it and I looked him up and got the Warm Up then the Come Up and Blow Up, etc. I tried preaching his music to others but they turned me down and now they all know I've been riding with his since day 1. "One day I'm overrated the next day I'm a saviour/ you hated before you played it and I already forgave ya"
