It’s the story telling that has been missing in some cases. Losing my balance, Killers, Ladies, Dreams, Breakdown, 2Face, etc etc. That’s what got me hooked, and it sounds like the same for you. Still my favorite rapper, but I feel what you’re getting at as to this is “cole at his best”. Hell, Truly Yours 2 was phenomenal story telling... Cousins in particular.
