Freiberg was there from the start of Jefferson Starship. It's not like he is a never was acting a part. QMS and his long association with San Francisco music scene give him all the rep he needs. The dude is 86 years old, give me the name of another 86 year old who can even get close to Mickey's work on this tune. He could have sung circles around most in his younger days, even with the competition in the Bay area.
