Apart from subjective evaluations which I approve of course, we should note that under the forms of the last baroque, the orchestra of Hatdn abd Mozart is already here. And we could even note that most of the time, Mozart uses only one flte 'which we retrieve as last as in Beethoven's piano 4th concerto).

Flutes were greatly undervalued during the Baroque. Most composers used the combination of 2 oboes, bassoon, and sometimes 2 horns. It is known that Mozart hated the flute

@@danik.5545 I Know. Nevertheless, in Zauberflöte, he was excellent. Hear the final proof or fire : flute sos againt trumpets, hirns, trombones & timbals pp ....... indeed a challenge both for the soloist and the conductors. Stronger than pp in the brases would fire down this awesome sequence !!!!!
