Thank you so much for your kind words. I got this cello almost 20 years ago in Russia. I showed it to several prominent experts, but nobody can tell me who made it. Some suggested it was italian, some that it was made in Germany, others told me it is has french roots. I am not very upset about it - this is my voice I was fortunate to find.

I have a question. Is this movement left unfinished by haydn? Cause I watched this piece from so many Cellists and everyone played a different thing in the last part of the piece. As if everyone plays his own improvisation in the last part
@Cellopedia Жыл бұрын
Yes, there is “cadenza” at the end, which typically means an improvisation. In most of the cases, those improvisations are composed by prominent cellists and published in various editions.
@alirezaahmadi3349 Жыл бұрын
@@Cellopedia the improvisation you played in the last part of the piece was exactly what Hauser played in his performance. Is that his improvisation or yours?

Hello Mr Kozlov! I am trying to play this movement but I have some difficulties playing doble steps with de thumb position and fingers 2-4. Can you give some tips for playing this passage easily or with other position? This video is really good. Thank you.
@Cellopedia4 жыл бұрын
Dear Magda, this is one of the most difficult spots to master in this movement. We all have problem learning it. It feels awkward and fingers get sore fast. You might want to experiment with elbow/wrist position to make it easier for the fingers to press on the string. Moving the elbow down will help the 4th finger, but would likely make it more difficult to use the 2nd. Other than that, my only advise would be to give it some time - come back to it every day, you should feel an improvement soon. P.S. there are three spots like this in this movement. Working on the first one will help to play other double stops.
@magdamont31214 жыл бұрын
@@Cellopedia Thank you for your advises. I will try this passage again every day, but, then, what fingering do you think is better, 1-3 or 1-4?
