These ten early divertimenti a quattro (string quartets) Opera 0, 1 and 2 are normally dated 1757-1762, though there is a remote possibility, the earliest may date back to 1754, but stylistically, I think this unlikely. Therefore, if the first quartets were 1757, Haydn was 25 years old.

Early Haydn has these things. This is one of my favourites. Another is the Andante from the Symphony No 19 in D. Simple, plaintive melodies.
