"Chicken Noodle Soup" is an original song by DJ Webstar & Young B that originated in Harlem, NY. The dance was very popular and this was one of the first songs that j-hope learned to dance to. J-hope started out as a dancer, so it's a song that means a lot to him and so he decided to do a remake! Becky G also loved the song when she was younger, so they both came together because of their shared love for the original. They both talk about their roots in this song in their own native languages which I think is so cool.

As a person whose first language is Spanish it was amazing to hear Namjoon and Jimin singing in spanish, I screamed so loud and it was like 4 or 5 am where I live! I've never heard Jimin's voice sound as clear and strong as it does here. That was the perfect range of notes for him. He doesn't usually project this well, except maybe in falsetto. Perhaps it's because he was rapping? I don't know all that music stuff, but you do. What do you think?

Probably there isn’t really notes bc it’s a rap and doesn’t have a melody really so he’s almost kinda yelling… he’s not just speaking rapping bc his voice is too light for that … it’s why he growls so much with mid to lower notes… well mid to lower notes of his range bc he can’t sing very deeply w enough power bc lower notes need more power to be heard than a higher tone does… like falsetto even if they’re singing lightly can pierce through… projecting lower notes loud is pretty difficult for anyone and requires a lot of stamina and breath control… v even has a lot of difficulty with a lot of his parts and he’s usually covered by loud backtrack or not singing at all if they’re dancing bc it’s just sound science lol but jimin growls when he sings lower notes bc he can’t hit them comfortably and be loud enough anymore w how he’s kinda trained his voice. Love seeing this little side of him slaying

Chicken noodle soup is a remake of a song by Bianca (young B) that talks about the racism and inequality that African Americans lived in NY, the "chicken soup" refers to cheap food (inequality) and hobi chose it because it is a song that reminds him of his beginnings as an underground dancer

I usually don't comment like this, but here I go. Their whole performance had me freaking out (tbh the whole song did) and when Jimin and Namjoon rapped in Spanish I like combusted man. English, Korean and Spanish are the three languages I speak and Chicken Noodle Soup absolutely embodies all three languages and touches on Hobi and Becky G's cultures and where they originated from, which I think is awesome. I'm half Korean, half Filipina and I'm a born and raised Canadian who attended a Spanish bilingual school program from K-12 so this song is insane for me. Thanks for the amazing reaction! (ALSO! Most of the boys know Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and are learning English so Spanish is like a fifth, foreign language??!?!?! And they're RAPPING IN IT?!?!?! Like what!?!?!? I think what I enjoy the most about the Daechwita and CNS live performance is that all the members can share their work with the other members who equally love and support each other as individual artists and as a group 💜 The joy that Hobi and Yoongi got from seeing the members celebrate there work on stage and the care/love the other members took in making sure to give the best live performance is what speaks the most to me.

The chicken car is real and belongs to a restaurant called The Chicken Shack. I was in LA for the concerts last month, and on the 29th I was part of a large tour group that arranged for the car to meet us at the beach for a photo op and lunch delivery. It was so much fun!
