Biggest appreciation for you being open-minded and also respectful. j-hope's roots are in street dance, to 90's hip-hop, so this is huge for him. He gives homage to one of his biggest idols (and mentions him in past BTS songs back in 2013 even) by having him in the song and letting him shine but also incorporates his roots by dancing to legendary bars in his street style. I think there's quite a few songs of the BTS rappers (RM, SUGA/Agust D, and j-hope), especially in their individual projects over the years, that you'd enjoy. All 3 have different styles and sounds, you're bound to find something that sticks or resonates in lyrics, beat, or rap.

What you said about J-Cole, "I don't think he's a rapper, he's got his own genre' and shit. I don't think he's a rapper, he's just an artist" You just described how BTS ARMY feels about J-Hope and BTS. To us, they are not just a KPOP group or boy band. They are a talented music group and serious artists, with their roots in Hip Hop. They are humble and hard working, and just amazing humans. J-Hope didn't just ask him to get on a song with him, J-Cole is his muse, his inspiration. J-Hope and J-Cole, his name was inspired by him, and HOPE World and COLE World, J-Hope's music was inspired by J-Coles music. This is a full circle moment for J-Hope. He is enlisting soon for his mandatory military service, and this is a song for the fans, and a tribute to his muse J-Cole. He started dancing as a child, and was an underground hip hop dancer for years before he joined BTS. Now he is loved Globally by millions of people, and he is the Dance Leader, main dancer, rapper, songwriter, and producer with BTS. I hope you check out more from J-Hope and BTS. @@tracydowd4013 Yes that is because J-Hope is very humble he kept a lot of things for himself. It's J-Cole that revealed hé was the one who contacted J-Hope and said J-Hope was very inspiring and it was a bless to work with him. I think J-Cole revealed this informations to shut up people who wasn't happy about this collab because they didn't understand why J-Cole one of the top 5 MC work with someone from K-pop. And finaly when the song came out they were focus on J-Cole lyrics will he retired or not ? Recently I heard a rapper saying that now everyone have their eyes on J-Hope and he is one of the most anticipated rapper mostly because of his album Jack In The Box and now they are waiting for his next move. Of course I can't Say if it's true or not but it seems pretty possible. After a collab with J-Cole not a single rapper ignore who J-Hope id and Even if they don't listen to BTS they probably checked out at least J-Hope solo work in order to understand why J-Cole choose him. And Jack In The Box may not be appreciate at is right value by a lot of Armys but by anyone who knows and love rap it's pretty impossible to dislike this album. Even Fontano who never liked a BTS album, didn't like D-day ( He didn't review Indigo) was Impressed and loved Jack In The Box. He recomanded this album to All BTS hater. It was so unexpected that J-Hope share is comment on his IG account 🤣. Seriously this album is dope ! And the Lollapalooza version in Spotify 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵I can't get over it ! J-Hope probably knows that is next album gonna have a important Impact on his career so ... He is out of the box now, I can't wait for his next move. Jack In The Box level is so high if he does better than that he gonna a phenomen in the rap game. For me he is allready phenomenal.

kinda wild that jhope is literally switching languages each lines and it still rhymes. J.Cole is jhope's biggest influence/inspiration and muse. Jhope's mixtape "HOPE WORLD" is a play on J.Cole's first album "COLE WORLD." The BTS song "Born Singer" is also a play on J.Coles song "Born Sinner." The avirex fit j-hope is wearing is also homage to J.cole. The street jhope was on at the beginning is the same exact street J.Cole filmed his "SIMBA" music video on. And jhope dancing during Cole's verse is because j-hope before BTS used to dance to J.Cole songs back in the day. The is like a visual homage paid to J.Cole by j-hope to show his genuine love for THE GOAT like J.Cole. J-hope been telling us since 2013 about JCole.. so he composed the music and let’s his idol spits 32 bars, that’s how much respect he got for him. I’m just an awe with JCole n proud of JHope.

Ahhh thank you for being open minded. We as BTS fans always have to prepare ourselves for rude/ignorant comments when a BTS member collaborates with a western artist. J-hope started as a street dancer and BTS have so many genres with over 300!songs in their discography. This was Hope’s farewell song before enlisting in the mandatory military service for 18 months. BTS covered JColes "Born Sinner" or known as Born Singer as they covered it a long time ago. I'm atheist. I used to be against religions until I got a teacher on the latter years of high school who actually studied religions and explained things (about the Bible mostly) that made me think about them differently - logic, references, history, interpretations, dogmas, etc - as well as make me more empathic since it is a form of comfort for many. I still don't believe in any god and I get my comfort from other places/people. I'm also forming as a researcher so there is that. But I do wish religions were thought better in temples and religious institutions as well as they were separated from goverments, since the way it's been treated has made more bad than good in many cases because of wrong interpretations or directly because of purposely distorting the lessons to shape certain views of society (sexism, allosexuality, extremely big etc.)

You could say you’re late, since they are now they 4th most awarded artists in music history globally. But it’s not really your fault, since the music industry worked to suppress them because they were outsiders from an independent label, and they’ve been largely snubbed by American radio because most of their work is in Korean and you know, racism. But Suga of BTS said, don’t worry about not being with us since the beginning. The day you discovered BTS is the day we debuted for you. Welcome 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

1:08 I think as a whole any music that comes out of Korea is being pigeon holed as Kpop, or whatever, "this type of music" is that you mean. But it's sort of like saying any music that comes out of America is AmPop. BTS is a boy band yes, but they started out with hip hop roots and were built around 3 rappers. They have 7 members all together, each stand alone musicians and artists, so they create music that falls into mutitple genres, but get called Kpop only by music platforms. J-Hope's solo work definitely falls into hiphop and rap, so you've definitely heard his type of music, no doubt. Just that he mixes Korean and English in his lyrics, often in the same verse.

You have been living under a rock if you haven't heard of BTS -- the biggest boy band in the world! Explore the music of BTS. There is a reason why J.Cole (JHope's idol) did music with JHope. This is a song JHope wrote to thank his fans for their love and support. JHope is a great rapper.

If you like rappers/artists who talk real shit then you'll love BTS. They talk about mental health and the struggles of loving yourself and social injustice. I mean yes they also have fun songs you can dance to but if you really give them a chance and explore their discography there's a lot of depth there. Thanks for listening with an open heart.

I think believing or not believing in God is really dependent on how you were raised :) Although I'm one of those people who doesn't believe in God, I'm not actually against religions in general. People often need something to believe in and God(s) provide them that. Although I believe there's no evidence of a one-true-god, people like you also believe that there's hundreds of pieces of evidence to support His existence every day. There's no right or wrong in this way. I believe you grew up in a household which values God and, in turn, so do you. I'm glad you pray every night and I hope that He answers for you. As said before: “I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.” ― Stephen Roberts

I could explain up and down why I don't believe in God and you could explain to me why you do and I don't think either of us would think the other's arguments make sense or are any sort of proof. And that's ok, as long as we respect each other's view.
