He was dancing underground while J. Cole was rapping on the rooftop, and in the end, Jhope comes to meet Jcole at the top. This may represents J-Hope's journey from the bottom to the worldwide top, from the time when he danced to J. Cole's rap even before joining BTS to the day when he can make music with his muse. He even gave Jcole more part to show his respect. I'm so proud of him and happy for him : )

2:07 also you guys are correct. Jcole has always been one of hobis inspirations. The first time they met he even told Jcole that he was his muse. Hobis first mixtape was inspire by Jcoles “Cole world” so he named his “Hope world”🫶🏾

remember j.cole's MV "SIMBA" ? the alley where he walked is the same alley where jhope walked on the first scene of this MV. respect for jhope for giving the floor to his idol, it's just amazing that j.cole's verse resonates well with J-Hope's lyrics from his songs "ARSON" & "MORE" Love the way this collaboration came out, I'm happy for j-hope, him as a j.cole fan cause from being a street dancer, loving hiphop and become a rapper, this is a dream come true for him. I'm surely gonna miss this man's positivity once he enlisted in the military 🪖

Thanks, Guys for watching the MV to the very end. Many Reactors got way excited and literally clicked off the video when it went dark (for a short moment), thus missing that "Legendary Ending" when they both saw, greeted and embraced each other like "brothers." 💜

The song began with me whistling as I often whistle the melodies of the songs I listen to. I was home dwelling on what kind of music to make and I just randomly blew a whistle and that just became the melody for “on the street (with J. Cole).” I instantly liked it, recorded it, and worked on the song with my producer - Jhope on Variety for On The Street. Did you notice the “It’s my call” billboard?? Man, that suck. The time is coming and I hope he will have safe return.

Yes he references Jcole in multiple BTS songs, including Born Singer (take off from Born Sinner) and Hip Hop Phile, and the title of his first mixtape "Hope World" is a tribute to Cole World. He told JCole that he was his "muse" 🤧

Never end a BTS member's video too soon, as you good gents know...they always got little bit more lol 😄 Damn, this collab's beautiful as JHope's farewell-for-now gift to ARMY, especially when you know the backstory of what Cole (JH's muse) has meant to JHope's development as an artist. It's bitter sweet, but hopeful. JHope said he began pulling together the melody to this song with a whistle (something he does when he writes music, apparently), said he wrote it sometime in October last year, after he cut some solo history of his own as the first S. Korean artist in to headline a Lollapalooza gig (Chicago) - that's where he and Cole met in person for the first time. On his online live platform, JH expressed being impressed by Cole as a person and referred to him as kind. It's heartwarming to see two generous, top tier artists come together bridge people together with a feel good song. JCole's verses are also very much relevant to JHope's experiences grinding thru coming up in his career, talking about having to let "grow". You likely know by now that all BTS members have to enlist in mandatory military service in S. Korea (SK and NKorea have been in a cold war for decades; all able bodied men must serve for around 18 months by a certain age - doesn't matter what your career looks like). All the members are doing their solo projects and promos before they have to put their careers on hold. BTS shared how they'll look at this phase in life as an opportunity to "grow", then bring their newfound individual experiences with them when they regroup in 2025. But you know people are going to try to reach for their 'crowns' while they're away, and these kings have every intention to come back stronger. These men folk, in all their humility and integrity, just have to handle this inevitability. That said, JHope has already enlisted and will start his duty likely within the next month or two; Jin, the eldest, is already serving. SUGA is next in line to enlist, sometime after he finishes his solo tour this year (venues for his US tour sold out during fan presale, before they even got anywhere near general public sales). I'm here for all of it.

J-hope made this beat and melody. The whistle is literally a whistle that he was doing one day and turned into a song. He is the biggest J.COLE fan and is heavily inspired by him and looks up to him. J-hope is going to the military soon so this is his goodbye song working with his idol is just the going away present. BTS did a born sinner homage to J.COLE with their song BORN SINGER! THIS IS FULL CIRCLE SO PROUD OF HIM. Check out J-hope's solo projects and more BTS PLS IF YOU LOVE RAP CHECKOUT THE BTS CYPHERS

I love the Golden Corral reference... Others see top ten and he is eating them like a buffet. I think the little boy in the beginning is Hope saying bye for now to Army. Sort of like Jin and the little girl. Hope laid down a smooth beat. It had a good flow and J Cole came in hard. I am not a rap fan and can't do without the cursing but I liked some of the messages. This will be the song of the year. How can Grammy deny?

..i sense J Hope's passion in doing this video...J Cole seems to be a legend in hip hop nowadays..both of them form a wonderful collaboration...this video is celestial, artistically speaking. J hope's dancing is also extraordinary..it reminds me of the film Dancing in the Rain with Gene Kelly. The meeting between the 2 worlds is amazingly enriching.

Love that J-Hope comes from the streets to the underground, then to the rooftop where he's now equal with his own idol J Cole. Very symbolic song and shows us just how far he's come, from the bottom to the top. Love it.👏💜
