What a wonderful down-to-earth person. His music has been among my favorite for 40+ years. Here is a guy who just made music -- NEVER hyped himself -- just titled a few albums with numbers -- 5, 8 etc. Listened to Borrowed Time a lil while ago. Rest in Peace JJ --- So much wonderful music you gave us all.

It's because the music is there, even before it's played with instruments. The principle is fantastic by itself and it'll work even with other instruments, other musicians .... JJ Cale just makes this music itself shine by playing it rough. he plays with this constrat to show you that whatever the way it's played it'll work, and that's magic. But ..... His sound and feel is wonderful anyway. That's an eternal song. John Lennon described this phenomenon very well.
