goodness this is too precious. She is an actual angel- beautiful and intelligent, imaginative and powerful, empathetic and understanding. And what a sweet thoughtful little boy.

This is lovely! Ms Rowling talks to this wee boy as a person. She doesn’t talk down or try to be on “his level”. She speaks to him as one human being to another. And she’s lit upon something that’s so important. Especially in the “throw it away and get a new one” world in which we currently live. It’s the moral of “The Little Prince” and “The Velveteen Rabbit” among other classic stories. What makes something precious…I mean, truly precious, to us? It’s the time and the love and the shared history.., it’s so many intangible things. Just a wonderful exchange between two lovely individuals. I’m so glad to have seen this.

I love The Christmas Pig but let me just say. The Velveteen Rabbit is my childhood story. I have a stuffed dalmatian, Lucky from 101 Dalmatians, that my dog slid to me as a baby. I kept it ever since and The Velveteen Rabbit just reminds me how precious toys can be, even if shabby and worn. Even if fur, what used to be soft and cuddly, is now matted and worn, and the eyes are tinted yellow, and one of it's ears has been sewn way to many times, they still are precious. Our dog groomer gave me a blue stuffed rabbit when I was little to, which looks remarkably like the Velveteen rabbit. I always held those two special stuffed animals whenever my dad read that story to me. These precious toys cannot be replaced by a new one, no matter how soft, cuddly, or expensive, nothing can replace the originals.

J k Rowling loves children fiction. And she's so successful in doing what she loves. Besides, i don't think her witches and wizards could do harm in children's minds. Compared to the risks social media pose for them, her subject matter is harmless. Like books, children need guidance in using social media

This is very sweet. Also, completely relatable to many people. Lavender Jack...Swooping On Down.

My most precious toy hasn’t been with me that long - maybe a year or two? I got it from a friend who lives about an hour away when my mom was dying of cancer .:( I was having a particularly bad day and he ordered it for me. Anyways it is a stuffed sloth that I named ‘ Gizmo’ . I sleep with him every night and sometimes I cuddle with him on the couch , so he looks like I’ve had him longer then I have.

If I were that kid, I would've laid on the charm, then innocently asked for a million pounds.
