But with Neville trained by Harry and helped by Harry forming Neville in a way into a second leader, since Neville leads the rebellion at Hogwarts while Harry was searching for the Deathly Hollows so in a way you have 2 leaders that Voldemort helped create even if not intentionally.

It's Like in Greek mythology. The prophecy does not predict the future it shapes the future by influencing the one addressed by I into taking steps to prevent it. But by trying to prevent the prophecy they make it come true in the first place. Example 1: King Laios was told by the oracle that his own son would kill him and marry his wife (the son's mother). To prevent this he send a servant to drop the baby boy in a mountain to die there. The servant gave the boy to a shepperd who gave him to a childless king and queen. The boy was named Oidipus and raised by the couple. Later Oidipus himself seeks out the oracle. He is told he will kill father so he doesn't return to his adoptive parents. Instead he wanders around, meets and gets in conflict with his biological father, kills him and marrys his biological mother - thus fullfilling the prophecy. Example 2: King Akrisios is told by the oracle that he will not have any sons and that his grand son will kill him. Therefore he builds a tower as a prison for his daughter Danae. Zeus is intrigued by the tower and discovers the woman. As golden rain he enters the tower and seduces Danae. Akrisios lets Danae and her son get thrown into the sea but get rescued so that the baby, Perseus, grows up to be a hero. Years later Perseus swears to Akrisios to never kill him, but an accident at a sporting event leads to Akrisios' death by Perseus. Without the tower Zeus woudn't have been curious and thus Perseus woudn't have been born. Voldemort falls into the same trap. If he never knew of the prophecy he woudn't have tried to kill any child and thus never have marked one as his equal.

Also remember that Voldemort didn't know the full prophecy as Snape got thrown out before he could hear the rest of it.

And honestly - NO Lilys sacrifice only counted because she had a choice (thanks to Snape s intervention) OTHERWISE James sacrifice should have counted for both Lily and James. So since Alice would not have had the choice... Would he have died? And Harry, who repeated the sacrifice also HAD A CHOICE (fight or die without fighting) which made his sacrifice counts...

Did he choose to attack the Potters, or did he discover the Potter's hiding place first? The Order, under Dumbledore would have known that prophecy could be applied to Harry and Nevil. Neither Dumbledore nor Voldemort could know which of the two would be the threat to Voldemort, and so Voldemort would very likely target both of them. Dumbledore would have put both families into hiding, and set up magical protections. Voldemort was privy to the location of the Potters through his spy, but he had no spy privy to the locations of the Longbottoms. Once he had successfully killed Harry Porter (The survival of his parents would not have been relevant) Dumbledore, not knowing how Voldemort had discovered the Potter's hiding place would have relocated the Longbottoms and established different protections on them. It was possible that the Order could screw up again, placing trust into the hands of yet another spy, and thus he would discover the new Longbottom hiding place with ease. I have no doubt that Voldemort was confident he would find the Longbottoms soon enough, but forcing the Order into relocating the Longbottoms was his best he was going to have to find them. After the fall of Voldemort the Longbottoms may have come out of hiding too soon, or perhaps the Death Eaters had discovered their hiding place after Voldemort's fall. Bellatrix tortured the Longbottoms into insanity after the Dark Lord had fallen. Why would she think they knew what had happened to the Longbottoms? Did she know Voldemort had planned to kill Nevil after Harry was dead?

Even without JK s answer I always thought, that once Voldemort had finished his buiseness with the Potters he woud have gone for Neville as well....

A note of advice, try not to cover things much bigger channels have covered (super Carlin brothers, or film theory) but I know it is hard as it is only a limited amount of content. Don’t let me discourage you and thank you for your videos:-)

Yeah, it’s hard to find any unique talking points with a series this old already. I’m super excited for the new show on HBO since It will allow a bunch of new talking points
