You don't need to know that much about London to know that it's NW of the city and number 3 meaning quite central. If you really don't know London, the name Hampstead won't mean much either.

People in the entertainment industry who live in London should be mindful that their progmmes are broadcast all over the nation. And dinner parties in NW3 jokes will be lost on many people.

Stephen Fry actually lives in Norfolk. NW3 (Hampstead) is where a lot of the well to do live in London. I don't live in UK and even I know that. London Postcodes are easy because they start with directions N, E, W, NW, SW, SE.... although be careful because NE is for Newcastle-upon-Tyne...

My Mum read us all of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. I have recently found out that my younger sister didn't enjoy it AT ALL. I never knew. I enjoyed it a LOT. Loved it. Encouraged me to read at a very early age. My books are my hobby. Also, we shared Harry Potter books. It was the only time ever we considered buying hardbacks. But we didn't.

I haven't read Potter, but a wizard contest and using trains for transportation (especially in England where trains are a cultural staple) doesn't seem so unique an idea

Yep, Stephen Fry broke my heart when he came out in support of JK Rowling over the lives and rights of trans people like myself. I used to quite identify with him, admire him, and respect him. Now I feel like he wouldn't piss on me to save my life if I were on fire because he doesn't give a fuck about trans people, apparently. But of course he doesn't give a fuck, he's making tons of money off his buddy "Jo".....
