So I just found this song from IG and had to come over and see the video. And I'm pretty sure I figured out the 9 letter word!! J Maya actual shows us in the video! The 9 letter word is DISGUISED. Which honestly makes perfect sense because she doesn't know how the other person feels. Oh man, this song is just perfection!!! How did I live without this song 😍😍😍😍

Assuming it follows the naming scheme in the video I think it’s most likely Disquiets - a feeling of worry or uneasiness It describes the discomfort in feeling so strongly for someone while also the worry that revealing those feelings will change their relationship. The feelings of both her and the other party are both big because they are bottled and another reason it’s not unrequited is because both people understand that it’s mutual but are waiting for the other to make the first move. Edit: should have checked the crossword more thoroughly. It appears to be missuited, which turns the song to quite somber. While almost all of what I wrote about disquiets is true one thing I missed was that they recognize that, while they are almost everything they want in each other, they don’t fit together. That’s why it’s ironic that she has what she wanted a kid in a partner prospect/friend that it feels kind of off and why it’s ironic that she never imagined that love would be hard to figure out as she is torn between trying to fill the gaps and spaces that prevent them from fitting together. When she talks about all the things that she wants to tell the other she’s worried that her words aren’t meant for them, that they weren’t fit and were missuited, suited for someone else. Additionally, the song makes it clear that while they are missuited she desperately wants this to work since it’s so close to perfect for her hence filling the gaps.
