James Francis Cameron (born August 16, 1954) is a Canadian filmmaker and environmentalist. He is best known for making science fiction and epic films for the Hollywood mainstream. Cameron first gained recognition for directing The Terminator (1984). He found further critical and commercial success with Aliens (1986), The Abyss (1989), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), and the comedy thriller True Lies (1994). His other big-budget productions include Titanic (1997) and Avatar (2009), with the former earning him Academy Awards in Best Picture, Best Director and Best Film Editing. Avatar, filmed in 3D technology, also garnered him nominations in the same categories.

No.1க்கு சரியான தேர்வு Abyss. எல்லோரும். எங்கே அதை மறந்து விட்டீர்களோ என்று எண்ணி கொண்டு இருந்தேன். வேற்றுகிரகவாசிதளை நமக்கு மேலே தேடிக்கொண்டு இருந்த போது நீருக்கு அடியில் இருக்க கூடும் என்ற சிந்தனையே எனக்கு புதிது. அப்பொழுது எனக்கு ஒரு 27, 28 வயது இருக்கும்.இன்னும் ஒரு காட்சி என் மனதில் இருக்கிறது. ஹீரோ ஒரு flareயுடன் குதித்து. அந்த வெளிச்சம் கொஞ்சம் கொஞ்சமாக குறைந்து இரு பாறைகளுக்கு இடையே அவர் போகும் காட்சி.

The Abyss #1 - Fantastic! yes.. we can go on and on about the Abyss. But placing Aliens at# 6 is a shocker. It is a technological marvel in film making and a cinematic masterpiece. Apart from the 15 minute countdown in the climax, Apone's 10 second alert and the first marine's foot touching the ground is spot on at 10 seconds, Cameron's genius idea of running the film in reverse to show the facehugger being thrown by the marines during the rescue of Ripley and Newt at the medlab, chest bursting scenes, conversion of tow-truck to APC, design of the drop ship, sentry guns(directors cut), creature design (Stan Winston's genius), Adrian Biddle's cinematography, transition in lighting, shift from light to darkness and then to red light filled room(perhaps a clever editing) during "they cut the power" scene, pulse rifle design, smart guns, distance metre, "overall production design", etc. etc, I'd place Aliens alongside the Abyss at # 1 or at least at #2. I wished you talked about one more aspect of James Cameron;s movies...The engaging title scenes, The Abyss and Aliens title/opening is something astounding !! The director's cut of both the Aliens and the Abyss offers a lot more insight into the plot! Aliens is my favourite film from Cameron. One of the best sequel that on par with original. Waiting for 4k bluray release. Terminator is still worth to watch. Abyss is one his film that many people forgot. Waiting this film directors cut edition in bluray release. Terminator 2 is also one of the best sequels ever made. Best action film in cinema history and most rewatchable film. Best arnie performance. Best one liners that never forgot. Highly expected in 4k but this one disappointed me. True lies his weak effort when compare his others. But the action sequences are well made and even for today standards. Titanic is one of film that have big place in my heart. The most watched film in my life(more than 100times). One of my favourite soundtrack and song. Unforgettable film in my life. Avatar is the reason for 3D films growth in worldwide. One of the best 3D film. I like this film score, art directon, cinematography and motion capture performances but hate the plot. This film plot is very similar to dances with wolves.
