Pacific theater was more of a personal conflict. (And even still money is ALWAYS involved) My original point was just to express how every country is capable and sometimes guilty of ruthless savagery, and we should not let twisted history sugar coat who were the "Good guys" on the region. Although I think Every Grunt from every country should be respected in some way, back in these times information was not so easy to access, and joining and serving the military was supposedly a great honor.
