もう1年前の投稿だから気付いていると思うけど、 京都橘高校の「橘」は「たちばな」です。 アニメの、というか原作小説には「立華（りっか）高校」 と有りますが、訓読みすれば「立華（たちばな）」になりますよね。 それだけ原作者の武田綾乃さんが京都橘高校吹奏楽部に敬意を 表したという事だと思います。 当然、武田さんは顧問の田中先生をはじめ京都橘高校吹奏楽部に 入念な取材をしています。

Learned some things about the band. When it comes time for a new D-M, each section, but not always, will nominate someone. Then the band votes for the new D-M. Among her duties, is making sure that instruments are in tune before a performance. Where persons should stand. What tunes and songs are to be performed during her tenor. Assist with all dance routines. She puts in more hours per week than the regular members do, not only scolds the performers, but most importantly gives them words of encouragement as well, and when needed will go out of her way to help a fellow band member with his/her playing. I guess being the D-M is more than it actually is. These are some of the best renditions of "I'm in the Mood for Dancing" and "In the Mood" that I have ever heard. P.S. During her senior year, the band voted for Hitomi Kanamaru to be an assistant D-M, but she humbly turned it down, as she wanted to continue playing her flute.

Was unaware that the D-M for the Rose Bowl Parade also played the clarinet, and that there were future D-Ms in various positions in the parade as well. There is a fantastic video of them doing a benefit concert at JFK Jr. High School, loved the opening number. After the finale stage performance and prior to the sit down performances, the band members went out into the audience to thank their sponsors for opening their homes and sponsoring them during their stay in Pasadena. You can see the D-M in the 1st chair on the left in the clarinet section, and she made no big deal of it. The last song was Sing Sing Sing, and the percussion section was going nuts.

Hello, the D.M. shed tears at the Concert's end. Excellent Concert. Largest grouping of Kyoto Tachibana ever. I hope she is well and doing fine. I wish for her good fortune, good health and happiness. The two future D.M.s eventually joined the O-VILS Entertainment Group.

WOW! Okay, I admit it, I made a mistake, the video was made at the JFK High School Performing Arts Center - Not a Junior High. The D-M in one one of the, performances where there were three clarinets, center stage, she was the one in the middle. It was amazing to see her perform and then return to conducting. What an amazing young woman, and an incredible band.
