I live outside of Japan and have been trying to buy tickets to one of their graduation concerts without success the past few years so I watched them on stream. But I did traveled to Japan last year and saw the band in a different event and believe me, seeing and listening to them in person was a totally different experience 100x better than watching videos. I will never forget it and I'm going to keep trying to get tickets to their graduation concerts. Highly recommended and I will be seeing them in the Rose Parade. 🍊🍊🍊

@@TF_HK I attended the 2023 3000 people brass band event which turned out to be the final one to be held ever. The unexpected participation of OG/OB from the 117, 118 and 119 classes made the experience even more unforgettable as it was likely a preview of the upcoming Rose Parade which I will see in person also. The brass band event gave me an opportunity to see other bands and even though many of them were excellent, none of them could really match KT. They simply have that star mystic quality and the crowd went wild when they appeared.

The dedication, commitment and discipline of this band left me in awe and really inspired. Fortunate for me when we had our vacation at Kyoto last 1st June 2024, I saw them performed live at Asuka. With all the talent mixed altogether with other performers, it left me teary-eyed for a show I have never seen before. These students, their parents and mentors sacrificed a lot. Hats off to you guys! Also, thanks for this documentary. Good luck on the next shows.❤❤❤

love this video shows how much hard work they put into each show not just the music side but also how hard they work to get everything ready this great great band are world leaders in all they do SO LONG LIVE KYOTO AND MUCH LOVE TO THEM ALL FROM A UK WATCHER
What an incredible documentary video!! 🧡💛🧡💛🧡Probably one of the best I have seen. Thank you for your time and effort to make something so special and meaningful. The behind the scenes videos are so important because without it, people truly have no concept of just how dedicated these students are... their many hours of dedication... their commitment to excellence and perfection... and even doing all the packing/ unpacking, loading/unloading in a brilliant example of team work. In just this one documentary, one is left completely speechless and in awe in all the things that were done leading to performance... nearly a 14 hour day. There are no words to convey the admiration, emotion and thanks for every generation of the Kyoto Tachibana SHS Band. ALL of you, in every generation, have contributed to a spirit and a flame of light that will forever remain eternal and grace the halls, practice rooms, trophy cases and fields of Tachibana. And in their quite humbleness, smiles from the heart and lovely joy... these wonderful young ladies and gentleman do not even realize that they are far greater ambassadors of goodness and peace, of genuine sharing and caring and cross cultural mutual friendship than any government or diplomat could ever think to accomplish. See the exchanges in America, in England and in Taiwan and you will quickly see for yourself that they are true and respectful ambassadors around the world, and not simply just great performers. And then stop and reflect for a moment. These are high school students, and one is left speechless. May God bless and protect all of you for the light you shine brightly. To 120th.... congratulations on all your incredible work and accomplishments... you truly did Reach the Peak through many challenges. This time of year always is bitter and sweet. Selfishly, it makes me sad to see you go... I wish you all the very best health and happiness in your lives as you spread your wings further. Always carry your Tachibana spirit through life, and always be true to your self. To the 121st... the light is upon you now. You are the new flame bearers and you will shine brightly through many new experiences. Wishing you all the best and great success. Above all.... thank you for what you do for the world. To the maker of this great video. Thank you so much!! If I may also add one request... could you also add English translation for all your video titles. It would be so helpful. Thank you to consider it!!

It makes you wish that the school had grades 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18, just so that the budding young adults could stick around a lot longer! It's like this every year, where the third graders fade away to be replaced by the new blood. Each school year, it's a mystery if the next class can match the previous class. They always start off rough, but 3 or 4 months later, they are firing on all cylinders again. And Professor Kaneshiro introduces new songs every year so that The Act never gets stale. Much credit goes to that young man for improving the band's musicianship by leaps and bounds.

@@demef758 Kyoto Tachibana does have a university that the high school graduates can go directly into but unfortunately the university band only does sit down performances and no marching. They also have a junior high school and the students with music inspirations can join the high school band if they want to.
What a great behind the scenes video. I watched all three performances online, but at the end of the year I will travel to Los Angeles to see (and hear!) them for real ! 🍊🧡🥁🎷🎺🎶🎶🎶🚩

this is a gem of a video thank you for posting this. it shows how KT is able to put up a great show every time all the time. their hard work and dedication is really showing. love KT
This is the first time I have seen the hard work they put in to each show and I think this is only a very small part of the many hours they put in.❤❤❤😊😊

We seldom see the 36+ hours they put in each and every week to do what they do. And then, they still have to be students. And sleep. And get to/from school. They must have 50 hour days in Japan......
Great time to again show the regular concerts... parts of all three of they. A question if I might, not sure if its time to ask as it might be early. If it is just let me know and then delete this and I"ll try again. My wife and I have twice been a host family, but we have moved to the east cost of the U.S. and will not be able to make it to Pasadena next month when you arrive in Los Angeles. :-(( However I will be able to attend all three of your Regular Concerts in March. I will travel from the east coast (North Carolina) to L.A. then to Japan to be there to enjoy my trip of a life them, when do the tickets go on sale, again...all three concerts. Or just send me the day and I'll find how how to get them, to be sent to me.....or be waiting to me at the box office, if you need full payment, again just let me when, how and other details. We will work out the detail the best we can. domo arigatou .....

When the bring along professionals to film a show like this, it shows. As polished as any top-notch TV production you will find anywhere!
You are a very lucky man. I found this band a few years ago on KZbin, I think I saw some of their 2018 parades with Chippi-San and Clara-San and I just fell in love with them. They are simply amazing and fun to watch. This band has also motivated me to learn how to play an instrument. I definitely want to visit Kyoto just to see them perform. Their work ethic and dedication is simply amazing and unbeatable.

Here's hoping that PALS Music issues a Blu-Ray disk of this concert and the preparation for it!
Lately it has become clear that the Tachibana school administration finally understands that they have "a tiger by the tail" with this Wind Band of theirs, and are actually starting to commercialize it. Energy drinks and cosmetic cream is just the start. They could easily turn the band into a large money-making venture if they wanted to. But I doubt that they do. It is, after all, a high school, not an entertainment school!
Very nice video, was cute seeing the two ladies pushing what appeared to be baritone sax cases. The cases were almost as tall as they were. It would be easier to pull the cases instead of pushing them. Somebody please tell Kani-Chan to smile or at least look she is enjoying herself, as she most always looks like she does not want to be with the band at all. It is a shame really, as when she actually does show her genuine smile it is very beautiful. Awesome to see the amount of hard work this band puts in for a performance. The hardest working group old young people I’ve ever seen. They definitely have a lot of class and character.
