2020 was very hard and a sad disappointing time world wide for students denied the opportunity to compete and enjoy the traditions of their schools. I am glad an opportunity came available to the 117 to perform before such a large crowd. I have read in other comments that they only had three practices before this performance. I don’t think this was entirely a new routine. Could this been the planned routine for the All Japan competition that never happened. It just seemed to complex to just have three practices even for this talented group. Glad they had this special moment.

I also heard that the entire group was able to get together as one unit and practiced only three times before this performance. That's mighty impressive giving that the graduated classes - 117th, 118th and 119th no longer could practice daily like the active high school students. Most of them probably haven't danced or picked up an instrument for a long time after graduation as they all have their own lives now like attending college. I actually traveled to Japan from the U.S. and saw this event live in person it was an awesome performance. I just wish it was longer.
