Seeing the video of Kyoto Tachibana ive looked at many bands from Japan and have to tell you this band is the best. The energy , the performance and they all look as though they enjoy themselves yet so professional. Many bands from Japan have high standards but this one is number one. American marching bands just dont have it and are lack lustre . The best of luck for the future and keep the videos coming from wherever you perform

Dancing and playing music for 5+ miles is insane. The physical conditioning of this band is world class. On top of that, they sound amazing.
Over 5 miles with shoes that look like slippers, intense choreography, playing their instruments so professionally you'd think their are 10 years older than they are, and they smile all the while. Their sound is awesome. They do their school work as well as practice, and never complain. What discipline. Very admirable. They are enjoyable to watch and listen to. Great ambassadors for Japan.
You can't help but smile each time you see this video! We may not speak Japanese, but Tachibana's selection of music is recognized anywhere the world, and we can understand every bar of it! They are marvelous! Playing instruments and dancing for 5 1/2 miles is no small feat, and to do so with a prosthetic leg, as Flute Player "Hitomi" does has to be most difficult! She just melts your heart with her abilities of playing the flute and marching. And "Tippi", playing the Xylophone, has the biggest smile in every video I've seen of the "Orange Devils". America gave Tachibana a wonderful welcome that they soon won't forget. No sooner did they return home than they were preparing for their annual school concert for their fans that also recognized their graduating band members playing in their last concert and an "Orange Devil."

Hope to see Tachibana in France someday ( before i die) ...

Tariksba It seems that a lot of French people are far more interested in the Japanese culture than Americans. Do you agree? If so, I just wonder why.

The gal carrying her country's flag is this years Drum Major and doing a great job leading the 2018 edition of "The Orange Devils!" I do not know her name, but she also plays the Clarinet as did "Ron" the 2017 DM. I'd love to know their reaction to warm the welcome they received while here in America. Did they like it, did they enjoy their trip here, did they meet new people here, what did they think of the U.S. etc., ect.? They really are Special People!

I thought it was really cool to have 5 of the DM's out front. "Ron" (Class 114 - Clarinet) leading. Flanked by "Pimo" (Class 113 - Flute) and "Cony" (Class 112 - Trombone) to her back right and left respectively. And "Okazel" (Class 115 - Clarinet) carrying the Japan flag and "Palinpu" (Class 116 - Flute/Piccolo) carrying the Green Band flag.
