Die Herbstfärbung des japanischen Ahorn ist immer wieder beeindruckend. Am imposantesten wirkt die Verfärbung des Laubes wenn verschiedene Sorten in Gruppen gepflanzt sind. Dann reicht die Farbgebung von leuchtend gelb, über orange bisfeuerrot. Am eindrucksvollsten kann man das Phänomen des verfärbten Laubes in einem japanischen Garten oder eben direkt in einem der wundervoll angelegten Gartenanlagen in Japan betrachten.
