I think what makes people holding on to their homes is they believe it will be just like 1997-2003, the price will bounce back up in a couple of years. But if you use Japan's housing market as a reference, you'll see the home prices has not go back up to where it was 34 years ago. People really shouldn't bet their whole life on something that has so much uncertainties.

Agreed. 2003 bounced back up because of the Free walking policy and dirty money from China when it was booming. Nowadays, China's estate market is even worse than HK's. Money from HK goes back to China by selling apartments in HK intensively.

Thanks for Sharing Too many variable and factors can affect the prediction. Beside, an opinion mainly focus on partially and localize negative viewpoints but without worldwide throughout consideration.
