Why celebrate Jouvert in September and not February as intended ?

The only reason why we can't celebrate it up here that early is ,Because it's too cold in the winter time, and obviously that's the dead of winter, it's freezing. Usually that time in New York for us it's snowing and cold and windy weather. So it wouldn't be likely for anybody to do that. While it's snowing. And it's cold and it's wet and rainy. At that time of the year for us and. September, it's late summer, so we're actually experiencing 80 to 90° weather and above much better weather and comfortable temperatures outside.

Because that's when Trinidad Carnival/ J'ouvert is and countries usually have their own month for celebrating their Carnival. NYC "Carnival "has always been around Labor Day and yes February too cold here in NY! 🇹🇹🇹🇹
