My recommendations if price isn't an issue would be Belvedere or Chopin, but if you don't have a lot of cash to spend I'd recommend one of Sobieski, Luksusowa, Ketel One (they do have a top shelf variety, but the basic version is still relatively good), or I guess Smirnoff is decent enough if you're going to primarily be making mixed drinks. I've also heard that Smirnoff has better quality depending on where in the world you live, but as I'm in North America I've only experienced the not so good version that's available here.
