My Dear old Father played this instrument regularly until he got facial praylasses in 1988 after the Honner Mouth Organ fell silent. He passed away in 2005. Great memories of him playing this Harmonica all my memories sail back to this aera.

My sincere condolences on your dad's going away,to where all will be going as well. I lost my mom 4 years now in January coming. I play harmonica,well Guitar,Keyboard and a few other instruments. I used to play Guitar to her,she used to talk me now you give me a serenade. Try if you can to learn to play the Harmonica.Learn the scale first. It is sad to have a love one go,but such is life.We also will be someone's memory.Enjoy life my friend.

Hansweehas it is never too late to learn to play an instrument. Start with one that is in the key of C,learn to play the scale. That is that sound that says: Do,Re,Mi,Fa,Sol,La,To,Do.Then play the Do,Mi,Sol,and Do. And the scale play it backwards.Let your ear get used to the sound. You can do it with any Harmonica in D,E,F,G but one starts with a Harmonica in C.The white notes on a keyboard/ piano is the key called Do( C).

@@HelloKitty-vt1ye thanks. I am practicing both. It also depends on what you want to play. Chormatic is easy play and sounds sweet. Diatonic is hard but has music scale blues advantage
