This is an awesome song -- I fell in love with it when I first heard it on the famous Volkswagen commercial. Audiophiles have the best memory, I still remembered the name of this song after all these years. This was the best era for T.V. commercials that featured music such as Dirty Vegas - "Days Go By" and Telepopmusik - "Breathe" ads for Mitsubishi. And Mr. Oizo - "Flat Beat" ad for Levis

I actually called volkswagon to get a copy of the commercial back when it aired. I saw the spot only on one day, but it aired just about every break. They said the actor contracts were expiring so they used the commercial all they could that particular day, i believe it was a sunday during either football or nascar, i can't remember. But, I loved the commercial and the song even more.

it was originally used on a jetta commercial years ago. it showed a dude rollin' his jetta at a high rate of speed... he slams on the brakes in front of a church, jumps out of said jetta, then runs into the church. right when he opens the door, a priest that is marrying two people, he asks, "are there any objections to this marriage", or some crap like that. intense.

j. ralph made all the music that was used in the '07 docu film about collector/currator sam wagstaff & photographer robert maplethorpe: black white+grey. lovely choice 4 this particular film. have not seen car commercial but believe the advertising peeps are bent toward revitalizing the lost histories/discographies of certain under-the-radar often deceased musicians & for the many who had never heard of nick drake or like me was -yrs. old when he died, i think this is a good thing... for all.

Chrysler commercial.
