What a wonderful musician and what a wonderful woman! Today, I`ve listen this 25 times... Chiara seems to talk with us... with her playing, we can "listen" her heart... Chiara gives Life to the baroque and she "talks" about her own feelings... How happy must be the man she loves. ..

Grazie infinite.

Bravissima. Grazie per la condivisione. Il concerto di Vivaldi (Rv 230) è il n.9 dell'op.3 ;)

Oh, that's delightful! Thanks for sharing. I guess Sebastian learned the concerto format from Vivaldi, but took it a lot further. This is wonderful. Going through all these concerti listening to the two different versions. It's like a 20 course meal!

this comment from dave eberhardt- fabulous performance and wish more was said abt the instrument- who made it- so clear, such a bell tone- not like many harpsichords that seem muffled or poorly miked- Bach almost sounds as good here as on the piano which he certainly would have loved

@KISIMOV Bach arranged several of Vivaldi's concerti, as well as Telemann, Marcello and Ernst and others. They did much the same. It was considered quite an honor to have one master transcribe another master's work. It is only nowadays with these copyright laws that people have become selfish and want to solely own their own works have and no one else touch them. This same concerto is also played on the organ.... because I play it!!!

@redbrian3655 maybe I'm a bit Communist, but you must consider that in the age of Bach or Vivaldi music wasn't intended for commercial use. The musicians worked for the great aristocratics or for ecclesiastical associations and they lived with a monthly pay, so they don't care if another musician took their own works. The famous "soggetto" of the Fugue in D Minor by Bach is taken by a Pachelbel's organ fantasy in D, for example. The commercialization of this times destroyed the good music.

The harpsichord has such a brusque sound to it when it is played solo. This piece has a potent quality to it, but is nonetheless beautiful.

I don't know what to say - this can't be played better... Which instrument do you use for this recording?
@askim92512 жыл бұрын
You should study some categories of JS Bach's work. According to jsbach dot org website, BWV 972-987 is keyboard arrangements of concertos by other composers including Antonio Vivaldi, Marcello, Telemann, Duke Ernst etc. And I think this music came from Op. 3, No. 7, RV230, not No. 9.
