Very nice interpretation Jack, especially on a Guitalele what is not obvious with the lack of space of this mini guitar. Well done. Musically Phil

Why does everything sound so much cooler on the GL1? Theres something about an instrument so cheep and well built that always rings true whether you play it for music or use it like a cricket bat or self defense club...

Thank you! A very good book is "Fingerpicking Bach" from Hal Leonard. It's for guitar but fits also perfectly for guitalele

@@JackIsidore Great interpretation on the guitalele! And thank you for the information, I am learning guitar on a guitalele mostly with 3 great Hal Leonard book! I'm going to look for "Fingerpicking Bach". And by the way, replacing the head nut on the GL1 makes it easier to play. 38mm between the 2 E Strings is not enough, 41,5mm is better! 😉

How do you like playing that guitalele? Always thinking of having one but I’ve got ukuleles and maybe it’s just similar except in number of strings and tuning.
@JackIsidore5 жыл бұрын
It has a cool sound, but I find it hard to play, because it's so tiny. But I don't play Ukulele ....
@luc57985 жыл бұрын
@@JackIsidore I lowered a little bit the action and changed the head nut on mine! Now with more space between the strings it's much easier to play! :)
@luc57983 жыл бұрын
@@romalondra Yes. AI think the perfect spacing for a 48mm nut is 41,5 or 42mm between the 2 E strings (from the outside of the strings). you still have enough room not to get off the neck... And to lower the action, you just sand the bottom nut. But be careful, too much and the guitar will buzz and you'll have to find another one. the head nut has to be adjusted too, not too high... The best thing to do is to go see a luthier!

Are your Aquila strings the usual A to A guitalele pitches or EADGBE like a classical guitar? Great video!

Hi, thanks - it's A to A tuning,

I'm seriously considering getting one of these little guys to resume my guitar learning journey. I think having something small like this to hold in the lap easily will make strumming exercises much easier and more frequent. Any advice for a newbie on using one of these?

Just try it! It’s lot of fun and easy to play, at least for those with not too big fingers …

Is this in standard tuning or is it in A? I know you can get strings for this that allow E tuning.
