Oh wow! Thank you, Gert, for this powerful and uplifting music. You make it look easy but I know you have worked hard, not just to produce the notes as written, but also to perfect the registration, to add expression and personality to all the parts and then play from your heart. Im not normally one to wax poetic about performances. And so I won't here. But I really don't appreciate it when people write that it's a bad thing thing that a performer exercises some artistic liberties with the timing of notes in a dramatic way. I appreciate that drama and personality that organists put into a work. Maybe they emphasize their favourite parts of a piece or maybe even their internal metronome sped up for measure. I say to those who want to hear the sheet music played perfectly: please listen to a midi file or try finding some recordings of power e bigs. Well done performer :)

That is "his" style and has been for years. A lot of musicians have their own way of displaying their passion for the music. Playing music requires fluidity.
