Thank you! An excellent addition to your retinue of harpsichord concerto renditions. Among the liveliest and most spirited of the lot, and an absolute joy to hear realized in perfect instrumentation. If you wade again into these concertos, I do surely hope that we may get your take on 1058, particularly the andante.

I will definitely "wade again" :) As for 1058, I am working (slowly) on 1041 (here's the first movement: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHacoKR6jZtna7c), not sure whether 1058 is a transcription of 1041 or viceversa, either way, you're absolutely right in highlighting the need to tackle the andante, it's marvelous. So many things to do, so little time...

The harpsichord / orchestral renditions of this concerto don't really work. It is pretty damn impossible to achieve balance between a harpsichord and an orchestra. Much as I like the concept of the piece, none of the recordings I have are even close to satisfying. This rendition is just so much better. In addition to everything else, for the first time I can clearly follow the voices. And for the first time, I find that I actually do like the composition. All the problems of the harpsichord version are left behind, and the values of the composition shine through. Once again, bravo.

Thank you so much! I agree that the harpsichord simply does not have the "oomph" to front the orchestra, albeit the reduced chamber setting. Thank god there exist many transcriptions of these concerts for different instruments.
