Amazing soprano!! She sings with her heart, soul and body! So many light voices sing it easily but for a sizable voice with such flexibility, range and colors, it's a real workout and stunning achievement....brava!!

Nope, Her voice is lovely, and large, but she's struggling with articulations at that tempo. She doen't have the flexibility to cope with the pace. Not he fault.

Die Trompete klingt wunderschön. Die Sopranistin kommt ab dem Recitativo zu ihrer vollen gesanglichen Entfaltung mit Gänsehaut-Feeling. Danke! 😊🎉 Bach ist nicht von dieser Welt. Solche Werke erschaffen nur Götter. Solange es Menschen geben wird, so lange wird man Bach hören. Er ist unsterblich.

A singer who is able to paint with the colours of her voice and who weaves her musicality and refinement into a series of highly demanding pieces. Lucy Crowe has strong control over her technique and therefore allows the music to happen. I believe with her performance she can turn her audience spiritual.

Responding to a question here as to what I thini of this recording of the Sinfonieorchester's recording of the Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen: Wonderful, second to none. I even like this more than those that I have heard. Lucy Crow sings with a feeling which satisfies the refined taste for classical performance. Lucy Crowe sings with such precision and phrasing that one thinks her voice is as much a musical instrument as those of the orchestra. Alse Bejun mehta is excellent, blelnding in the ensemble of the total Bach feeling. Bravi tutti.

Lebhafte und wunderschöne Aufführung dieser fein komponierten Solokantate mit herrlicher Stimme der genialen Sopranistin sowie gut vereinigten und perfekt entsprechenden Tönen aller Instrumente. Der brillante Ton der Solotrompete klingt besonders lebhaft und echt schön. Der intelligente und geniale Dirigent leitet das kompakte und ausgezeichnete Orchester im rhythmischen und gut phrasierten Tempo und mit perfekt kontrollierter Dynamik. Einfach wundervoll!

A mon goût, c'est une interprétation quasi irréprochable. La trompette est juste, puissante, assurée. Le tempo général est ni trop lent, ni trop rapide, la soprano a une voix généreuse et elle maîtrise totalement les extraordinaires difficultés de cette cantate. Mais.... je ne retrouve pas l'émotion qui m'avait submergé à l'écoute de Ivana Kladarin-Lazar (malheureusement impossible de la retrouver). Mais il ne faut pas bouder son plaisir, c'était simplement magnifique !

Katastrophale Kameraführung! Warum sieht man im Satz IV. nicht die zweite Sologeige, warum kaum die Organistin/Cembalistin? Warum werden die Solisten nicht alle oben erwähnt? Traurig für so ein großes Haus wie den hr. Die Interpretation ALLER Beteiligten ist wunderbar und sollte besser gewürdigt werden, wenn man schon eine so hochwertige Aufzeichnung macht. Partiturlesen!

Now that you’ve signalled it… I also hear something “ different “ there. The voice is beautiful of course but she struggles with the coloratura in the rapid passages and sometimes with the high notes.In spite of her being a very respected singer,for this cantata , maybe Not the best choice for a soloist .Thank you for your reply.

Ich will hier die Mitwirkenden keinesfalls kritisieren aber für mich ist dies alles viel zu schnell, wie so oft in heutigen Aufführungen. Das Berührende & die Seele dieser Musik geht für mich durch das "Gehudle" verloren. Für mich gilt hier: J.S. Bach, K.Richter, 1959, Maria Stader. Punkt.
