This famous piece by JS Bach was (probably) written to test a new organ's capacities. And no doubt the virtuosity of the organist. I first heard this piece at a church in Los Angeles, Cal. Whoever the organist was did an excellent job of performing this marvelous piece! The church was just filled with the glorious sound of the organ.
@Ianthe225 жыл бұрын
Okay, where on earth have you ever read that the piece was written for an organ's testing? And it being a piece to test out a musicians virtuosity is also utter nonsense. Maybe try point out in your future posts that it is your own imagining of things. Don't you think it would be bad to lead others to think what you wrote is true???

Being in music as i am, each & everytime i hear this song, it gives me the chills. This organist, played this piece VERY well. However, you have to "physically" be inside a church, to fully appreciate this piece. One of my friends is an organist, and he played this piece for me, one day inside his church. With knowone else in the church but us. All i can say, is when he "opened up" the organ's pipes, i had goosebumps no lie folks...!!! Plus the "reverb", was amazing to hear, at the end of it....
@sesk36134 жыл бұрын
But if there were people there, turning their hearts to God, the effect of goosebumps would be even greater. Bach wrote this music in this state of mind.

I am a pianist, but I believe it would be simply amazing to play on such an instrument as that. Beautiful and amazing perfect crisp sound. A truly simple and beautiful piece, composed by a complex man. For someone to write such a thing in Bach's time... Astoundingly breathtaking. Words cannot describe how it sounds. The musician is truly skilled as well, I know that the piano is difficult, but the organ is much harder. One must admire his ability. Thank you for uploading.
