J.S. Bach - Prelude, Sarabande, Gigue & Double from BWV 997

Three of the shorter movements from the Suite for Lute in C minor, BWV 997 (I consider the Double as a variation of the Gigue). If I ever have enough time to get that Fugue up to par, it will get its own video!

These adhesives are fantastic for putting them on, and I have been using them without fail for over a year (even when playing the Aranjuez concerto with lots of rasguados and otherwise heavy playing). If you also use fake nails and are tired of using glue, this is probably a very good option for you.

I would have to disagree. John Williams really let the music do the talking on his old Bach album, with simplicity and clarity, but steady rhythm and no embelishments, and It's simply breathtakingly beautiful. I do like this version here, but its the most "extravagantly decorated" version of this song I've ever heard (sarabande). Still great though! Just my 2 cents. 👍

I was waiting for this: I had once, almost twenty years ago, heard the opening notes to this prelude.. ..only knowing that it was Bach.. I fell in love with it.. ..but never knowing the title of the piece... waiting ever so patiently for the day that I hear these notes again.. Je l’écoute régulièrement avec toujours autant de plaisir parce que je considère Bach comme LE génie de la musique et parce que je trouve l’interprétation de Williams impeccable de sobriété et d’élégance. J’avais un regret : ne pas pouvoir VOIR comment il était possible de jouer des choses aussi complexes à la guitare à laquelle je me suis essayé dans ma jeunesse. Votre vidéo me procure donc un double plaisir : voir votre jeu et découvrir une interprétation aussi élégante (avec quelques trilles en plus et un peu plus de nuances) que celle de John Williams.
