I'd encourage you to check out Simon Powises version. Although Ana does a pretty nice job here I'm not fully convinced with her interpretation. here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2ebc6marZKcgpo

@@jamajikhan Powis's version is very fine indeed. I confess that earlier in Vidovic's career, my opinion was that she always sounded like she had a train to catch. But I think that her musicianship over the years has improved and is catching up with her technical prowess.

You get up on a sunday morning and you watch through your window while listening to this beautiful piece.... Can you feel the relief? Can you see your body from the eyes of your soul yet fliying high.... This is Bach, perfectly "dressed' by Ana Vidovich. Thank you Ana!

I've loved this piece for much of my life. I can say that this interpretation is the most unique and brilliant version I have ever heard. I love the speed and punchy staccato. This woman is an artist who isn't afraid to take risks. As far as I'm concerned, this is the immortal version of BWV 1001 Fugue.

Excellent piece! One of my favorites from Bach! A key point that most of you missed. This piece is written in A minor for guitar. She played it in G minor as the original piece. It is very hard to play in G minor in guitar. Again, another reason to appreciate Ana Vidovich's talents. She is just superb. It was a mountain for me to climb in A minor to play this piece. Now she is doing it with superior speed and precision in G minor. I have to admit Bream has the best version in A minor with expression and quality. We need to also commend her for this original arrangement.

I'm learning to play this piece, and without the "extra" bass notes. I'm a programmer, not a musician. I'm barely able to play half of it at ~72; needless to say, I have only the deepest respect for this wonderful lady.

An extra high quality of articulation, sound and polyphonic clearness! Im not sure if the most role here plays the talent or it made with more part of thousands hours of wrk work"!

She is exceptional and extremely talented and certainly could run circles around me. Now the "however". I can play most of this piece but certainly not to the extent she can. IMHO, I think she is playing the piece to fast and without as much expression as she could have. To be sure, she has all the talent in the world to play it any way she pleases, I just think it could have been slowed down a bit and she could have added more expression.

Im not sure you have level to advise her because i dont see any video at your page

+David Bergman Nonsense. Ana is not just a student - she's a *scholar* of the pieces she plays. And I don't think there are many players today who will trump her musicality. A Bach fugue is all about the clear voicing, contrapuntal lines, and the mathematical precision. She plays this (and most things) flawlessly.

Note the "IMHO"? Do you understand what that acronym means? An opinion is an opinion. I know better than to question others opinions. Enough said.

It wasn’t flawless. David is correct, she rushed it. One doesn’t have to be a better player than her to make an opinion.

Once you know the counterpoint, the speed doesn’t detract from the mathematical perfection. Euclid.

too fast for my taste but she does bring out interesting qualities about the piece i had never truly noticed...

If you change the playback speed to 0.75, you'd get the original tempo.
