It is due to injustice being done with a particular community (Sanstani) by a particular community (Muslims) after the Partition in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Does he expect India to roll out the red carpet for anyone from the religious majority of an openly hostile nation especially when the reason for the hostility is the religious fervour? We might as well induct countless Kasabs into our citizenship and save them the trouble of infiltration. Even with all the border patrolling and intelligence policing, we have a lot of enemy sleeper cells spread across the length and breath of our country which come to light only when there is either an incident or intelligence breakthrough. Imagine the plight if you let Pakistani Muslims seek asylum and accelerated citizenship just on the basis of their claims of persecution.
